Oshii Mamoru's Vladlove (or is it Vlad Love? I'm not sure) will now be airing in autumn instead of in April. Also, the official site for the TV series is now open.

Ono Natsume is starting a new manga titled BADON, and yeah, it's the same Badon from the ACCA universe. The manga revolves around four ex-convicts who open a high-class tobacco shop together in an effort to start afresh. And since this is Ono Natsume, the main characters are sharp-looking middle-aged men in sharp-looking suits.

Mizushiro Setona's BL manga Kyuuso wa Cheese no Yume o Miru (The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese) and its sequel Sōjo no Koi wa Nido Haneru (The Carp on the Chopping Block Jumps Twice) have been licensed by Seven Seas. Been watching some Buck-Tick live footage. No.0 reminds me a bit of I Am Mortal. "Kodou" is still one of their best closing songs. They are holding two back-to-back lives in May, so I suppose Sakurai-san has recovered from his illness for the most part?

In other news, Yuukoku no Moriarty (Moriarty the Patriot) has a project in the works. No idea what it is yet. It could be an anime (I hope), a stage play (which is quite likely), a mobile phone game, a collaboration cafe of some sort etc.

Things have more or less settled down now, which is a relief. But anyway...

Tokyo Ghoul:re has ended, and with that the entire Tokyo Ghoul manga series has come to an end. It's been an interesting ride, though there are times when the plot gets bogged down by its very large cast. I often prefer the quieter moments in the series over any epic ( Read more... )

Reread Ichikawa Haruko's 25-ji no Vacance, which reminded me of this song ("Nijikan Dake no Vacance" by Utada Hikaru featuring Shiina Ringo). Other than having the word vacation in the title, they don't have much in common.
